| High School! Nick is taking a few advanced courses, such as science, math, and Spanish, so that he'll be able to get some college credits during his Senior year. At least that's the plan for now! He rides the bus every day, a big change from years of walking to school. During the fall he attended most of the home football games, mostly to hang out with friends. He is good about doing his homework without having to be told, and he has been on the honor roll. |

Nick has been wearing glasses for a few years, and finally got contact lenses this year. The big thing in 8th grade was the trip to Washington, DC. The kids spent most of their time on the tour bus, but they got to see lots of things up close, and explore some of the great museums and monuments. Nick is in advanced Language Arts as well as advanced Math. Unfortunately he no longer enjoys reading due to the strange and difficult books they were forced to read this year. He wants to be either an architect or a lawyer when he grows up.
| These middle school years are going fast! Seventh grade is here, which means dances, football games, parties, hanging out with friends. |

Nick is now in middle school. The 6th graders stay together for most of their classes, so it isn't too different from elementary school. He worked on a lot of projects during the year for social studies and language arts. In addition to being in the advanced reading and writing, this year Nick got into the advanced math classes. It is very challenging, and John is working hard keeping Nick caught up. Nick is learning (the hard way) to make sure all of his work gets turned in, on time.
| Nick has reached the end of his elementary school career. He is now a 5th grader and looking forward to middle school next year. Nick is a Safety Patrol and helps the little kids cross the street on the way to school. He still likes to play soccer, basketball, video games and ride his bike and scooter. He loves to read, draw and watch tv. He is very interested in science; it is probably his favorite and best subject. He still helps out at church every Sunday as an altar boy. |

Nick is in 4th grade and is working hard in school. He has homework almost every night. He loves to play soccer, basketball, and video games. He likes to hang out with his friends, but he still enjoys playing with his sisters. He serves as an altar boy every Sunday at our church, and has memorized several prayers. He alternates between reading the Holy Bible and reading fiction books such as Harry Potter, and reading non-fiction books about space.
| Nick is in 3rd grade this year and loving it. He has the "cool guy teacher with the ponytail" and is learning lots of cool science stuff, as well as how to play chess. He loves to draw (usually monsters) and to read. He has read the Harry Potter books, the Magic Tree House books, and is starting to read The New Testament. He loves watching movies, playing video games, riding his bike and scooter, and playing soccer. |

Nicholas has finished 2nd grade and is missing his friends and teacher. He loved school this year and did very well. His latest passions are tetherball, soccer, Pokemon, Nintendo 64, bike-riding and American history. He is trying to memorize all the Presidents, in order, and is also teaching them to his sisters. He is an Altar Boy at our church, and takes his job very seriously. The summer will be spent hanging out at the pool, taking swimming lessons, and playing with friends.

Nicholas learned a lot in 1st grade. He is reading incredibly well, even figuring out difficult words that he's never seen before. He loves to read; his favorite books are the Captain Underpants (really!) books. Nicky likes to play basketball and baseball, but his favorite is soccer. Nicky's favorite color is red. |

At the age of five, he "knows everything" and is quick to tell his Mommy that he knows more than she does. He started Kindergarten this year and creates a lot of art projects. He enjoys going to Sunday School, neighborhood playgroup, and gymnastics. But most of all he likes dinosaurs and superheroes. Every other week we go to the library to get new dinosaur books. He knows all their names and which ones were meat-eaters. He currently has about 25 dinosaurs, and Daddy is always buying a new one for Nicholas. He adores his little sister, Alexandra, and even lets her play with his dinosaurs. He taught his sister how to talk by talking non-stop every day. He loves his newest little sister, Sophia, and makes her laugh and watches out for her. He loves to go to the Columbus Zoo with his friends and see all the animals.

Nicholas John Mustric was born on July 6, 1993, at 7:07 a.m. He was a wonderful baby, quiet and happy and alert. Always interested in everything that was going on around him, Nicky absorbed everything he saw and heard.
