| Sixth
grade is a big change for Allie and her friends. The walk to school is a
little longer, they have lockers and they switch classes. In the fall they
attended 6th-grade camp for three days and did a lot of science and nature
activities. She has joined the ski club and is looking forward to their
first ski trip (they go every Monday afternoon / evening for most of January
and February.) She tried out for the spelling team and made it! Last summer she and her friend Rachael spent a week at "Ghost Camp" - it was Girl Scout camp with a focus on ghosts, scary stories, field trips to old cemetaries and a haunted inn. |

Fifth grade has flown by. Allie seems to be more interested in friends and clothes than anything else. Like her brother, Allie was a Safety Patrol this year. Her favorite pastimes are reading, crocheting, knitting. She loves to create things. Allie spent a week at Girl Scout camp again last summer, at a program called "Fireflies" where they got to stay up late and sleep late in the mornings (just her thing!) They actually slept under the stars one night. Allie is very interested in constellations and space. She is also very interested in aliens! Her favorite color is green.
| Allie is in 4th grade and has our neighbor for a teacher. She loves school, (except math), and is in a special program for reading and writing. She is now a Junior Girl Scout, with her mother for a leader! In the summer before 4th grade, she again spent a week at Girl Scout day camp and a week at horseback riding camp. Horse camp was a lot of fun, but it thunderstormed a lot the week of day camp so it was not much fun. Fourth grade has started out very well, with Allie getting good grades on her science and social studies tests. She loves the finer things in life, such as nail polish, make-up and haircuts. |

Allie is in third grade and working hard. She is learning about the rain forest, the solar system, multiplication and division, and methods for writing more effectively. In the spring, Allie got a hamster. She named it Callisto, after one of Jupiter's moons. She likes to read mysteries, and likes to spy on people. Over the summer she attended Girl Scout day camp for a week, Girl Scout overnight camp for 3 days, and horseback-riding camp. She also spent time at the pool, one of her favorite summer activities.
| Alexandra is in second grade and loving every minute of it. She has a huge appetite for reading. When she isn't busy talking on the phone to one of her friends, she can usually be found curled up on the couch with a good book. The Junie B. Jones series is one of her favorites, along with The Bailey School Kids. Not too educational, but at least her vocabulary is increasing. Allie loves to write her own stories too. She also enjoys playing with her younger sister, Sophia. They play Barbies, Fashion Polly, and Madeline. |

Allie has made the transition to first grade easily. She has some old friends and some new friends in her class this year. She loves to talk to them on the phone after school. She just joined the Girl Scouts as a Brownie and is very excited about all the upcoming activities. She loves to read, and every week she brings home a library book about cats or dogs. She really wants to have a pet! She can now ride a two-wheeler easily and is starting to practice shooting baskets with her brother. She likes to play soccer. This past summer she began to swim really well and started learning how to dive. She also got brave enough to jump in off the low diving board.
| Allie grew up a lot in the summer of 2001. She learned how to swim, started learning how to ride a two-wheeler, and went to "Safety Town" where she learned all about fire safety, bus rules, stranger danger, animals, etc. After that she was ready to start Kindergarten! The first few months she has done really well, and is learning how to read. She gets very excited when she can read words that she couldn't read before. She is a very social little girl and has memorized the phone numbers of some of her friends, and likes to call them after school. Allie lost her first two teeth in January, at age 5 3/4. |

Alexandra turned 5 in March, 2001, and has "graduated" from preschool. We see flashes of maturity, more and more often. Next Fall she'll be in kindergarten at High Point Elementary School. She is real excited to be going to the school where her brother and the other big kids go! She loves to play with her Barbies, her Beanie Babies, and baby dolls. She likes to play dress-up, draw pictures and color in coloring books, and watch cartoons. Some of her favorites are Rugrats, Winnie-the-Pooh, Powerpuff Girls, and Madeleine. Her favorite color is pink. She loves to play with her older brother, Nicholas, and her younger sister, Sophia. But one of Allie's favorite things to do is to sing. She makes up songs for every occasion, and often will sing instead of talking. She still likes to ham it up for the camera!

| She loves going to music class, and sings to herself all day long. She makes songs out of anything she hears, and now is even making up rhymes for her own songs. Allie loves her big brother, Nicholas, and follows him around all day long. They chase each other around the house and play games together. Allie loves to play with her brother's trucks and dinosaurs, but she also loves to cuddle with dolls and stuffed animals. She talks in complete sentences now, although it is difficult to understand her when she refuses to take her pacifier out of her mouth. She is a typical two-year-old and has been receiving quite a lot of "time-outs" lately. Most of the time she is a lot of fun, very sweet and loving. She is a real ham for the camera, too. |

Allie, age 1 Alexandra Katherine Mustric was born on March 3, 1996, at 12:10 p.m. She is a fun baby, happy and noisy. She is very social and always wants to be in the middle of things. She loves going to music class, and "sings" to herself all day long. Allie loves her big brother, Nicholas, and crawls around after him all day long. They chase each other around the house and play games together. Allie loves to play with her brother's trucks and dinosaurs, but she also loves to cuddle with dolls and stuffed animals. She just got her 8th tooth, so she now has four on the top and four on the bottom. At fifteen months she is beginning to say some words. She says "ball" very clearly, and tries to say "Elmo" and "Ernie" as well as "balloon" and "hat". She delights in making animal sounds, especially meowing like a cat and roaring like a dinosaur.
